In this live dye demo, we will talk about how to recognize Dyer’s Polypore and Lobster mushrooms, where to look for them, when to harvest for maximum dye potential and how to extract the colors. We will also explore how to work with mineral salts like alum and iron as well as pH modifiers to achieve a nearly full spectrum of color.
