Finnish Plants and Their Uses with Henriette Kress, AHG

Workshop Length : 1 hr 30 mins

Workshop Description :

The Finnish herbal traditions include teas, local plants, and lots of foraging. Almost all families still go out to forage for nettles in spring and for berries and mushrooms in fall. It's therefore quite easy to get people to pick their own plants. Poultices and salves have traditionally been used extensively, tinctures and syrups not so much. Henriette talk about the uses of interesting herbs like stinging nettle, potentilla, rose, angelica, plantain, alder cones, elecampane ... and fly agaric.
